Everything about fire ratings

Fire-proofing regulation

The purpose of this regulation is to limit fire risks in Buildings Open to the Public (BOP). It requires the use of fire-rated products inside BOPs, that is, products meeting the requirements of the fire resistance standard. To be fire-rated, the products must be tested by an accredited and independent organization which issues a report. The safety commissions of the BOPs regularly inspect the reports to ensure that the installed products are compliant.

European standard, Euroclasses

The NF standard EN 13 238 of 21 November 2002 stipulates that the Euroclasses include 7 performance levels.
